Marked for Destruction

A crime perpetrated by her Professional LegalGuardian, arranged by an Attorney.

Locked away in an Assisted Living Facility against her will.

Her Diary of Elder Financial Abuse and Fraud.

Learn how Adele’s neighbors rescued her.

What Adele Fraulen might have thought to be nothing more than a meaningless bad dream one night in 1935 would actually come true. At age 79 she would find herself living a nightmare — a struggle for her life, simply because she innocently trusted the wrong professionals to help with her portion of a Million Dollar inheritance; they would steal her very existence. Her neighbors, Chris and Patricia Zurillo, would realize that Adele’s life was going terribly wrong and dedicate themselves to freeing her from captivity. “Marked For Destruction” is a rare book that exposes an ever-expanding crime against our elderly.

About The Author:
John Caravella patrolled the streets of the City Of Wauwatosa (Milwaukee County, Wisconsin) from 1976 to 1989. Citizen trust resulted in his clearing arsons, armed robberies, missing fugitives, dozens of burglaries and two homicides. After retiring, he volunteered his investigative skills to help others. “That is how Adele came into my life,” Caravella said. “I learned that she was ‘imprisoned’ and had to be freed. Through this book, Adele’s voice exposes the deceptive schemes used to keep her quiet.”

Applause and standing ovation to: Adele's dedicated rescue team with
deep appreciation to: John Caravella who volunteered his time and efforts to document this case in his book: "Marked For Destruction".

    Thank you!

  3. Joecitizen Says:

I felt the "what if it were me" effect when I read Caravella's book. He did a great job and I appreciate his work. Good job NASGA. 🙂

I ordered it, and "enjoyed" it very much. "Enjoy" is not the right word to describe this horrible system, but I felt the connection with my own case.
The "funny" thing is that when my companion of many years was forced from his home, I went to look up my congressman, Gus Bilirakis. I didn't know how to spell his name so I googled it. HERE was Adele's book, "Marked for Destruction" and Gus Bilirakis was the lawyer who helped the guardian to take over and put Adele away.! Our politicians are so corrupt! 'Ole Gus lives close to my companion's house. He totally got by with his greed. But at least the guardian went down! It is very interesting reading. All names are changed, but I know who they are.
This is how I found NASGA!

This really is a must read — we who have experienced bad guardianship can see it coming and are frightened for Adele as we read along.

How lucky she was to have Chris champion for her!

Every one should check their local library to be sure they're carrying this book — and if not, suggest they do.

GOD BLESS HIM! I know of not one other person, nor persons who have done such a blessed deed. Everywhere I turned, except for 1 lady, thought that abusive, exploitive guardianships are quite acceptable, or certainly not worth stopping, especially the attys I spoke with and/or pleaded with. So this man is beyond rare. In a whole country, when its that rare to find someone to stand up; Americans have become either morally decayed or mind controlled. John Caravella should receive a medal of honor.

  8. Norma Says:

It's a page turner. When I started reading it, I couldn't put it down until I finished it all.

    I highly recommend it !

A Free read? Wow, that's really saying something and I am going to take advantage of it!

Good job John! Adele is smiling.

    Isolate..Medicate..Take the Estate

"After retiring, he volunteered his investigative skills to help others. “That is how Adele came into my life,” Caravella said. "I learned that she was 'imprisoned' and had to be freed."

I agree John Caravella deserves recognition; he should receive a medal of honor for his role in joining Adele's friends dedicated to freeing Adele from wrongful incarceration in a nursing facility and a certain early death while the guardianship vultures fed off of her estate.

“Marked For Destruction” is a rare book, the author John Caravella is unique, he gave of himself again, by giving Adele a voice and the dignity and respect she deserves.

Adele will be heard and remembered.

In this day and age where it's all about ME and MY family – MY friends – MY job, etc., it's just so refreshing to know that neighbors like Chris do exist and they care about an injustice that happens to a vulnerable person.

    It gives me great hope!

Excellent book in diary form. Words from the victim of the guardianship racket.

    Has anything changed?

Yes, there has been change, the number of victims since Adele's situation, the numbers are increasing!! at an alarming rate.

    Where are the legislators?

    Where are they?
